We stumbled upon a procession one evening in Avignon, France. Watch for the Boy Scout honor guard.

We took advantage of some nice weather the other day and rode the Funicolare Monte Bré.

It is a two-stage funicular and once at the top of the mountain we were treated to an amazing panoramic view that included the town and lake of Lugano, the Alps and Italy.

It is the Sunday before Halloween and the roller skaters are out in force on Pont-Neuf in Paris. The skaters, ranging from stumbling beginners to smooth-gliding pros, wheel their way across the old bridge. Some are in costume, while others are dressed for high-speed. Keep your eye out for the police, also on roller blades, weaving through the procession.
