Hello everyone. Just a quick note to let you know that Sheryl and I are alive and well. For the past few weeks we’ve been in the midst of full-on “reentry” activities. Stuff like finding jobs, moving into a new place, renovating and painting, unpacking, etc. It is kind of a strange time warp to unpack things you haven’t seen in over a year and a half. Some of it has us scratching our heads asking, “Why in the world did we keep this?” And sometimes we ask, “Didn’t we have a (insert mysteriously vanished item here)?” Most of what we’re rediscovering is very welcome, though. Both of us agree that it is really, really nice to have more than a handful of clothing options to choose from everyday.
So we do have one other podcast from Europe that I intend to post later this week. And then we will be doing an episode from here to reflect on the trip and talk a bit about the reentry process we went through. I noticed that we were featured again on iTunes Music Store Podcast page, which is amazingly great. Welcome to all new listeners. And thanks to our long-time listeners for your continued support. More soon. Cheers!
Get bumped up to Business Class! We were really fortunate to have been helped out by a fantastic British Airways staff member who bumped us up to Business Class because they needed our seats for the full flight. Needless to say, it was the very best flight we ever have had and we really enjoyed the legroom.
We’re back in the U.S.A. and it is sort of surreal. We’re still dealing with a touch of jetlag and a little bit of re-entry reverse culture shock. But we are glad to be here and ready to get on with the next phase of our lives. After a couple of weeks visiting with our families, stay tuned for some more podcasts.
We recently had a great chat with Chris from Amateur Traveler Podcast. You can listen to our conversation in Episode 84. Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Chris. We enjoyed it!
Sheryl came across a great blog the other day. Check out A Taste of Europe. It is so cool to find another couple gearing up to do the same thing we are. What’s more, on top of it all they are also bringing their dog. Awesome! Best wishes, Tammy and David. Maybe our paths will cross over the next year?
